Coffee and Murakami

When working in retail, time off is a luxury and ever changing week on week. On the rare occasion that I can winch myself out of bed and venture outside I like to visit and relax in my favourite local café All you Read is Love run by Danish siblings Anders and Karen.

Located on Leytonstone High Street they have recently celebrated their second birthday (Happy Birthday!). They are also the winner of the Time Out London Loves Award 2016 for best shop as they also sell books, artwork and records in addition to a long list of drinks both alcoholic and non alcoholic and home baked foods available in store.

The decoration inside is eclectic but inviting and friendly and a large feeling of Hygge (Danish for the feeling of comfort or contentment) even with a large and looming decal of Death looking over you! Not going to show a picture, you’ll have to go visit to see it for yourself!

It’s great place to sit, relax, and read your favourite book or you can buy a book from the selection of new and second hand books available. I bought Murakami’s Colourless Tsukuru Tazaki and his years of Pilgrimage to read whilst I tuck my way through a quiche and a decaf soy latte.

One thing to bear in mind however, it is cash only so please remember to bring cash beforehand!
